First written mention occurs in 1288; originally it was a farmhouse with a fort. Hněvošice are situated on historical path connecting Opava and Ratiboř. You can find a border cross here.

Hněvošice are situated in the north part of Opava region on the border with Poland. It is not far to Kobeřice in the south-east, to Služovice in the south and to Oldřišov in the west.
