Chuchelná

First written mention comes from 1377. In the beginning of the 17th century the family Lichnovský from Veštice took over the city.

 

Povýšení sv. Kříže Church - was built between 1921-22, was destroyed in the Second World War though. The new church was dedicated in 1996.

The tomb of family Lichnovský - comes from the end of the 19 th century, the remain of princess von Croy and prince Karl Max Lichnovský are stored in the chapel

Lichnovský Chateau - had been used as a hunting place and pleasure residence, in 1952 was set up the first rehabilitative institute in Czechoslovakia

Chuchelná is situated in the North part of Opave region, roughly 10 km north from Kravaře, there are 2 border checkpoints in the town Chucelná - Borucin, Chuchelná - Krzanowice
