First written mention comes from 1377. In the beginning of the 17th century the family Lichnovský from Veštice took over the city.
Povýšení sv. Kříže Church - was built between 1921-22, was destroyed in the Second World War though. The new church was dedicated in 1996.
The tomb of family Lichnovský - comes from the end of the 19 th century, the remain of princess von Croy and prince Karl Max Lichnovský are stored in the chapel
Lichnovský Chateau - had been used as a hunting place and pleasure residence, in 1952 was set up the first rehabilitative institute in Czechoslovakia
