Open-air museum of traditional customs is situated in Bolatice - a venerable village in the south part of Hlučín uplands and almost 6 km away from Kravaře. The open-air museum is on the Svobody Street (next to church) on the property of Jiří Burian. The open-air museum was opened thanks to local people and donation of European Union.
This museum pictures a traditional life of people who lived in the Hlučínsko region in the beginning of 20th century. It′s a place where people can go to remember they childhood and how life used to be in the past. You will see there customs of your ancestors. It′s also a place where a lot of events are organized. In this museum you can go back in time. You can see how it used to be to live in a village in the past, how it used to look in kitchens, bedrooms, in a cowshed, or in laundries. You can find there historical machines, too. They offer a exposition of old tools and domestics.
